A simple, specific, accurate and stability indicating reversed phase high performance liquid chromatographic method was developed for the simultaneous determination of and Metformin Hydrochloride, Rosiglitazone Maleate and Glimepiride in tablet dosage forms. Detector consists of photodiode array detector; the reversed phase column used was RP-C18 (2.27 μm size, 250 mm´4.6 mm i.d.) at ambient temperature, in isocratic mode, with mobile phase containing Methnol: Acetonitrile: Phosphate Buffer, pH 5.39 (20: 40: 40% v/v/v) adjusted to pH 5.39 using ortho phosphoric acid was used. The flow rate was 1.0 ml/min and effluents were monitored at 238 nm. The retention times of Metformin Hydrochloride, Rosiglitazone Maleate and Glimepiride were 3.69 min, 8.18 min and 12.5 min respectively. The calibration curves were linear in the concentration range of 4-24 μg/ml for Metformin Hydrochloride, Rosiglitazone Maleate and Glimepiride. The proposed method was validated and successfully applied to the estimation of Metformin Hydrochloride, Rosiglitazone Maleate and Glimepiride in combined tablet dosage forms. Linearity was obtained in the concentration range of 4 to 24 μg/ml of Metformin Hydrochloride, Rosiglitazone Maleate and Glimepiride with a correlation coefficient of 0.9963, 0.9992 and 0.9957 respectively. Detector consists of photodiode array detector; the reversed phase column used was RP-C18 (2.27 μm size, 250 mm, 4.6 mm i.d.) at ambient temperature. The developed method was validated according to ICH guidelines and values of accuracy, precision and other statistical analysis were found to be in good accordance with the prescribed values. Thus the proposed method was successfully applied for simultaneous determination of Metformin Hydrochloride, Rosiglitazone Maleate and Glimepiride in routine analysis.

A simple, precise, sensitive, rapid and reproducible HPTLC method for the simultaneous estimation of the omeprazole and ondansetron in tablets was developed and validated. This method involves separation of the components by HPTLC on precoated silica gel G60F254 plate with solvent system of methanol: ethyl acetate: toluene(2:6:2% v/v) and detection was carried out densitometrically using a UV detector at 280 nm in absorbance mode. This system was found to give compact spots for omeprazole (Rf value of 0.68±0.02) and for ondansetron (Rf value of 0.17±0.02). Linearity was found to be in the range of 1000-3500 ng/spot and 1000-3500 ng/spot for omeprazole and ondansetron respectively. The limit of detection and limit of quantification for omeprazole were 123.42 and 374.01 ng/spot and for ondansetron were 134.63 and 407.97 ng/spot, respectively. The method was found to be beneficial for the routine analysis of combined dosage form. Keywords

A RP-HPLC method has developed for simultaneous estimation of lansoprazole and domperidone in combined capsule dosage form. Lansoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor and used in the treatment of duodenal and gastric ulcers and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a condition in which the acid in the stomach washes back up into the esophagus. Sometimes lansoprazole is used in combination with antibiotics to treat ulcers associated with infection caused by the H. pylori bacteria, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Domperidone is indicated for treating symptoms associated with upper gastrointestinal motility disorders caused by chronic and sub acute gastritis. It is a gastrointestinal emptying (delayed) adjunct, a peristaltic stimulant and exhibit antiemetic properties.
The mobile phase used was a combination of Acetonitrile: Methanol (81:19). The detection of the combined dosage form was carried out at 280 nm and a flow rate employed was 1 ml/min. The retention time for lansoprazole and domperidone has found to be 2.8 and 1.57 min respectively. Linearity was obtained in the concentration range of 8-24 μg/ml of lansoprazole and 8-24 μg/ml of domperidone with a correlation coefficient of 0.9977 and 0.9992. Detector consists of photodiode array detector; the reversed phase column used was RP-C18 (2.27μm size, 250 mm´4.6 mm i.d.) at ambient temperature. The developed method was validated according to ICH guidelines and values of accuracy, precision and other statistical analysis were found to be in good accordance with the prescribed values. Thus the proposed method was successfully applied for simultaneous determination of domperidone and lansoprazole in routine analysis.

The ischolar_mains and seeds of Coix lacryma-jobi L.are utilized for Medicinal, Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic Preparations and Dietary Supplements. There are two main varieties of the species, one wild and one cultivated. The wild variety of Coix lacryma-jobi var. lacryma-jobi has hard-shelled, pearly white, oval structures used as beads for making rosaries, necklaces and other objects. The cultivated variety Coix lacryma-jobi var. ma-yuen is harvested as a cereal crop, has a soft shell, and is used medicinally in parts of Asia. World-wide, this plant is best known for those pods (pericarps), which have a hole naturally occurring at each end, making them a useful source of beads for stringing.Seeds stringing is known "VAIJANTI MALA". The seeds (caryopses) of Coix lacryma-jobi L. are used as a source of food. Coix is the common name for the Chinese medicinal material Coix lacryma-jobi L. seed (Health Benefits of Job’s tears). Seed of Coix lacryma-jobi L.contains 50-79 % Starch,16-19 % Proteins, 2-7% Fixed Oil, Lipids (5.67%Glycolipid, 1.83% Phospholipid, Sterols), Fatty acids (Palmitic acid (PubChem CID:985), Steric acid(PubChemCID:5281), Oleic acid (PubChem CID: 445639), and Linoleic acid (PubChem CID: 5280450).This plant possess many traditional uses such as decrees blood cholesterol level, anti – inflammatory, anti – oxidant, hypolipidemic, anti-cancerand mensuration disorder in women etc. Coix lacrymajobi L. plant has significant medicinal value in human. This review helps to evaluate and establish the various medicinal use of plant in various diseases. Keywords
